FIFA to inspect Japan’s 2022 World Cup bid
A FIFA delegation has arrived in Japan, the first stop on a two-month tour to inspect candidates for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. The FIFA inspection team, headed by Chile Football Federation president Harold Mayne-Nicholls, landed Monday and will inspect stadium and broadcasting facilities in Osaka and Tokyo from Tuesday to Thursday.

FIFA says Indonesia out of 2022 World Cup race
Indonesia was dropped from the race to host the 2022 World Cup on Friday after failing to provide government guarantees to FIFA. “We have informed Indonesia that because they have failed to provide a number of documents and guarantees …. Indonesia is not any more a candidate for 2022,” FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke said.
